Are you struggling with your study schedule? Not sure where to begin? Don’t have enough hours in a day to find time to study? Don’t feel like studying?? If you’ve answered YES to any of these questions, then you’re normal! Most 2019 CFE writers are on the same boat, if not all!
It’s April and almost the end of a very busy work season for most writers. At this point, it’s a good idea to gather all your technical study notes and get everything together. Figure out your plan of action. This is the most important part of your study journey. Once you have figured out a plan, the rest is easy- you will just need to execute.
Studying technical can be boring and time consuming. Try to slot in an hour in the morning to study when you are most alert. Allocate time on the weekends and evenings as well. Your goal should be to complete your first round of studying technicals by June. This way, you have July and August to go back and read and re read and memorize key criteria’s etc.
If you are an experienced writer, make sure you’ve registered for a prep program and find a different route from what you did last year. It’s always a good idea to change things up. Do your research and talk to your friends and colleagues. This will allow you to make an informed decision.
Start writing a case maybe once or twice a month starting May just to get into the practice of case writing.
Good luck and happy Studying- XO
